Terms of service
1. Scope
(1) These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed by consumers via our online shop at jegit.de. Your contractual partner is Jegit – Pour La Vie, Renas Sheho, Anna-Seghers-Straße 94, 28279 Bremen, Germany (“we”, “us”).
(2) A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession (§ 13 BGB). For business customers, separate agreements apply.
2. Conclusion of contract
(1) The presentation of products in our online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but a non-binding invitation to place an order.
(2) You can place products in the shopping cart and proceed to the checkout. There you enter your contact and delivery details and select a payment method. Before submitting your order, all details are displayed again in an overview, where you can check and correct any input errors using the usual keyboard and mouse functions or the “back”/“edit” links. By clicking the order button (e.g. “Pay now”), you submit a binding offer to purchase the goods in your shopping cart.
(3) Immediately after you submit your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. With this order confirmation we accept your offer and the purchase contract is concluded.
(4) If you select PayPal or Klarna, you will be redirected to the respective provider's website to complete payment.
3. Contract language and storage of the contract text
(1) The contract languages are English and German.
(2) We store the contract text. You will receive the order details and these terms and conditions by email with the order confirmation. You can view these terms and conditions at any time on this page. If you have created a customer account, you can also view your past orders there.
4. Prices and shipping costs
All prices are final prices including statutory VAT. Shipping costs are added where applicable; details can be found in our Shipping policy and are shown again in the checkout before you place your order.
5. Payment
(1) We offer the following payment methods: PayPal; credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay (processed via Shopify Payments); Klarna. The payment methods available to you are shown in the checkout.
(2) The purchase price is due upon conclusion of the contract.
(3) When paying with Klarna, the terms and conditions and privacy policy of Klarna Bank AB (publ) also apply. Klarna may carry out a credit check for certain payment options (e.g. invoice or instalments).
6. Delivery
(1) We deliver to Germany, all EU member states and Switzerland, to the delivery address you provide (within Germany, a DHL Packstation or post office is also possible).
(2) The delivery time depends on the destination and the shipping method selected and is stated in our Shipping policy (e.g. 1–3 working days within Germany with standard shipping), unless otherwise stated for the respective product.
(3) For deliveries to Switzerland, import duties and taxes may be charged on delivery; these are to be borne by the customer, unless they have already been shown and collected in the checkout.
(4) If an ordered product is unexpectedly not available, we will inform you without undue delay and immediately refund any payments already made for that product.
7. Retention of title
The goods remain our property until full payment of the purchase price.
8. Right of withdrawal and money-back guarantee
(1) As a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal. Details can be found in our Cancellation policy.
(2) In addition, we grant a voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee. The guarantee conditions can also be found in our Refund policy. Your statutory rights remain unaffected by the guarantee.
9. Warranty
(1) The statutory warranty rights for defects apply.
(2) If goods are delivered with obvious transport damage, please report this to the delivery agent immediately and contact us as soon as possible. Failure to do so has no effect on your statutory rights; it merely helps us to assert our own claims against the carrier.
10. Liability
(1) We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act (ProdHaftG) and to the extent that we have given a guarantee.
(2) In the event of slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely), our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
(3) The above limitations also apply in favour of our vicarious agents.
11. Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
12. Final provisions
(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection granted by mandatory provisions of the law of the state in which you have your habitual residence.
(2) Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
